Here’s how Trevin Peterson figured out a way to quit his 9-5 job and use Amazon FBA to live the life he wanted.
Trevin wanted a change. He went to university but soon quit because he wasn’t happy with what they taught.
After he left school, he sought a 9-5 job. But that wasn’t the answer either. He wanted something more from life.
And then a friend introduced him to Amazon FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon).
You may think he was an instant hit. After all, he’s a selling superstar now, right?
Actually, Trevin failed at his first attempts to sell on Amazon. But his failures are your wins if you learn from them.
Take a look at a few things he learned along the way:
1. Just Get Started
You won’t know everything from the start. But you’ll be in a position to start your learning journey. Your victories and mistakes are all stepping stones.
However, you won’t get anywhere if you don’t get started.
Put one step after another – and learn along the way.
2. Ignore Criticisms
Trevin received criticism for wanting a better life. From dropping out of Uni to attempting to make money in a different way – everyone had something to say.
Believe in yourself. Sure, listen to feedback, but what other people say doesn’t matter at the end of the day.
Here’s the key; don’t get coached by “spectators” on the stands, get coached by players of the game – who have already achieved the result you want.
3. Be Willing to Take Risks (And Minimise Your Risks)
You can’t reach success without some sacrifice. It doesn’t necessarily need to be money. Sacrifice can mean many things.
It can mean not watching Netflix for 30 minutes in the evening so you can research a new product idea.
However, get ready to sacrifice and take some risks. It’s part of working the process. The key is to minimise your risks.
Trevin didn’t immediately quit his job. He waited until he had a couple of products that did well.
He needed to make sure he could take care of his financial needs before he gave up his safety net.
This is what I did as well.
Plus, I keep my risks low by doing very small MOQ’s – minimum order quantities – for my products. For example, in some cases I’ll test a product with less than $1,000.
This not a huge amount, when you consider that each product could potentially generate me $1,000’s per month in profit.
Success doesn’t happen overnight. But when it does, be ready for it to take off.
For example, now Trevin reports making as much as $14,000 of profit in a single month on Amazon.
